The sun sits behind the 25 de Abril Bridge over the Tagus. The view moves along Lisbon’s waterfront, past the Monument to the Discoveries in Belém, and towards Praça do Comércio from a boat. On-screen titles introduce Lisbon from the water, credit Seaview, and invite you to plan a Lisbon experience.
River sightseeing or ocean adventure?
Read the route description. A Tagus sightseeing cruise, sailing trip and speedboat experience offer different journeys and levels of activity. Choose according to your comfort and interests.
Check the departure marina
Your meeting point may be outside the historic centre. Confirm the marina, exact boarding location and arrival instructions before you leave.
What is included?
Check whether refreshments, equipment and guide commentary are included. Do not assume a private boat or open bar unless the product says so.
Weather and timing
Check the provider’s weather and cancellation policy. For a sunset experience, use the available departure times for your chosen date rather than assuming a fixed year-round time.
Speedboat or a slower cruise?
The featured speedboat listing lasts one hour and combines fast sections with sightseeing stops. It suits an energetic outing; a slower sailing or river cruise is a better direction to explore if you want a relaxed pace. The speedboat listing excludes under-8s and people with back problems. Arrive at the provider’s waterfront meeting point; hotel pickup is not included.
Choose by pace and departure point
| Choice | Why consider it? | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Sunset speedboat | A one-hour outing combining faster sections and landmark stops. | Suitability restrictions, the exact boarding gate and the departure for your date. |
| Tagus sailing cruise | A slower outing, with one- and two-hour options listed. | The chosen duration and whether you selected a sunset departure. Boarding is at Doca do Bom Sucesso in Belém. |
A simple plan for your departure
- Open your booking confirmation and save the map pin, gate and arrival instructions. Different boats use different boarding points.
- Work backwards from the provider’s check-in time and include your journey from the accommodation. A waterfront location name alone may not identify the right gate.
- Bring a jacket and footwear suited to boarding. Check the provider’s rules on food, drinks and bags.
- If you have another booking afterwards, leave time for disembarking and onward travel. A cruise duration is not the full time away from your hotel.
Compare the final total for your whole group on the booking page. Check the exact cancellation deadline and the operator’s weather policy for your selected option.
